Things Not to Put Into A Box

I really want to talk about evangelism. That is a fancy word that I’ve learned comes from the words for both angels (who are messengers) and the Gospel (which means Good News.) Evangelism is being a messenger of the Good News of all of the awesome things that God has done for us. It means sharing what we are doing and why we are doing it with others.

One of the things that I remember My Big Guy telling me that Jesus said is “No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.” (Matthew 5:15)

You may have heard that I am afraid of things like baskets, and boxes, and stuff like that because I got trapped under a basket when I was a puppy. So hiding a light in a box or a basket really doesn’t make sense to me. You are denying it the purpose for which God made it.

A light is made to shine. I was made to share licks and love, once I get to know you. You were designed to share love and to help one another. God wants you to take the love God gave you; God wants you to take the forgiveness God has given you and give it to and share it with other people.

Tell them how awesome God is, and how much God wants to show them that they are beloved children of God.

Don’t hide God’s love in a box. Or put me there either.
